Tonight was the belated birthday parties for Devin and Connor. It turned out very nice and all the kids had a great time and I think the adults did too.
Let me explain something about birthday parties from my point of view. I don't care if they are only 1, 2 or 3 years of age and are too young to enjoy or get the meaning of it yet, I still like to make them special and I usually go all out in whatever theme I have come up with to celebrate it with. The reason is, that some day when they are older, they will be seeing the pictures and/or video tape of it and realize that their Mom still put in a lot to make it special. I also love to do cakes and come up with cute and different idea's from what you would normally see and this gives me an excuse to do so. So with the Go, Diego, Go theme and how Diego is in the jungle/safari and is always on the rescue for animals, that is what I went with and it worked!
We had a good menu of pizza's, delicious salad bar, fresh fruit and chips and dip with three different desserts to choose from. It was nice and plenty full enough just with the Olsen, Hendershot, Huff, Shillington and Owen's families. After eating and opening the presents and having desserts, the young one's all swam in the pool until after dark.
I can't believe that Connor is already 3 and that Devin is 1. Time does surely fly.
