I bought him a cute little Spiderman fishing pole and was planning on keeping it until his birthday at the end of October, but after him asking repeatedly when he was going to be able to go fishing, I decided to just go ahead and give it to him. So Saturday morning he and his Daddy went to Wal-Mart to get the bobber, hook's, etc and they headed out with bucket, fishing gear and live worms to the water behind our house. (The community calls it a lake, we call it a pond.)
Steve only had to show Bryce one time how to cast the line and he was a natural. Within a few minutes he had caught his first fish, see picture above, and within less than an hour he had eight fish. He was very concerned that there was plenty of water in the bucket so they could continue to live and swim around. So when we needed to head out to the boat, he was glad that he was able to dump them back in the pond.
It was cute to watch him and his Daddy spending this special time together and I think it is a memory he won't forget.
