I've been tagged!!!

I've been tagged by Mary and I am supposed to tell 7 random things about myself and then tag 7 other of my blogging friends to do the same. (Even though I believe they have already been tagged by others:)
7 random things about me.....

1. I have only been in one accident and it wasn't my fault. An old lady (who I will not name as she is still alive, but thankfully no longer driving) didn't stop at the stop sign and came flying out of a side street, on HSBC Campus of all places, on a Sunday morning and hit me full force on the drivers side of my car and totaled it. She hit me so hard she knocked my car from the road all the way into a brand new parked car sitting in a driveway and the force knocked the tires and the whole wheelwell almost all the way out of the other side of my car. My head hit the windshield which shattered(the windshield, not my head:), my nose hit the steering wheel and it promptly broke my nose and blood was everywhere. I must have used my legs to brace myself, because my Sunday dress ripped all the way up the middle to my belly button. (thank goodness I had on a slip:). My drivers side door was dented all the way into my side and the window broke all over me. Mr. Ritter, who was my English teacher at the time, (it was his daughter Kelly's brand new car that got hit as well) heard the horrible crash and came running out. I was slightly shook up and remembered looking over to see who hit me and all I can remember is the old lady looking at me as asking me why I hit her. I can laugh about it now, but at the time it made me very upset. She had a big stationwagon and I don't think her car even had a dent. Mr. Ritter kindly looked at her and said, "she didn't hit you, you hit her." He reached through the broken out window on my side, held a rag to my nose and then came around to help me out. I'll never forget how kindly he reached in and pulled my dress together and helped me out of my car, into his livingroom and laid me on the couch while his wife got some cold compresses for my nose and throbbing head. Yes, I had to get another car and my nose never changed, it still is a ski slope, but it was an experience to remember. (The next nine won't be this long, I promise!)

2. I am a very girly-girl, but with a big tomboy side. I love getting my hair and nails done, get massages and facials, LOVE clothes, shoes, putting outfits together, make-up, perfume, going shopping for clothes and fashion in general. On the flip side, I own my own 9mm hand gun and love to shoot guns, love fast cars including NASCAR, love riding dirt bikes and/or 4 wheelers. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. Like to lift free weights. I notice the rims, not just the tires on vehicles and can usually tell what kind of car or vehicle it is before I see the plates. I can hold my own talking to guys about most sports, or cars and trucks.

3. I absolutely HATE flying or heights, including roller coasters, even though I have flown more times than I can count. I cry during almost every take off and landing and whoever is sitting next to me usually has the imprints of my fingernails in their hand for awhile.

4. I still regret not getting my nursing degree. But although I never became an RN, I had so much experience and knowledge about medical, that I challenged the CNA (certified nursing assistant) course, and passed the first test I took. I could have gotten my CNA certificate without spending one day in a class if I would have gone on to do the clinical part, but I didn't because I was working full time. Even though I never had any formal training or schooling except for Phlebotomy (drawing blood), I have drawn 100's of peoples blood, given 100's of shots, put in and removed dozens of stitches, assisted with many minor surgeries, and did a few surgeries on my own, removed dozens of warts, taken and developed 100's of x-rays, assisted in several colonoscopies, assisted in removing things that I won't name, in places they should never have been put in, and so much more.

5. I used to firmly believe and be scared to death of the fact that the Lord would come before I was able to get married and have kids, two things I really wanted to do before He came.

6. I can read lips very well.

7. My 5 senses seem to be overly sensitive. I could never be a food critic, because unlike how some people can still eat things even if they don't really care for them, I can't eat something I don't like or if it looks like I won't like it because I will actually get sick and throw up. My body reacts very strongly to things that don't taste right to me, including a certain texture. I can smell things good and bad usually before others can smell them. I can hear extremely well. If someone on the other side of the room were to whisper my name, I would probably hear it. I have way better than 20/20 vision. I can see and read signs from a very far distance. I am very sensitive to cold-just can't handle it and also have a difficult time with extreme heat.
