A blessed Easter Sunday

We had a very nice, although slightly different, Easter Sunday. After going to Sunday School and church, and hearing a great message about what Easter is all about, our whole family headed to the Huff's for a yummy dinner. Normally we take a bunch of family pictures in their backyard and let the kids do the traditional Easter egg hunt, but due to the weather being rainy over the last day or so, and it was continuing to drizzle, we decided we would wear our same outfits and save the eggs, and switch things up and bit, and do both on Mother's Day, weather permitting.

Our little family did manage to capture a few pictures in the living room or other various places in the house, as you will see below.

After dinner and the normal clean-up, we headed home for a quick nap, and then had to be back at church for an earlier than normal evening service, due to them deciding to extend the Journey to the Tomb one more night, because of getting rained out sooner than expected on Saturday night. We listened to a very good Easter musical, and the whole service I got to hold and love on Rob and Robyn Huff's sweet little baby Payton. Steve stayed on to do his part as a Roman Soldier and then to help with all the clean-up afterwards, and I took the kids home to get them to bed at their normal bedtime, and enjoyed a nice, quiet, relaxing evening of reading and eating a big bowl of popcorn.

All in all, it was a really nice and blessed day, and both services, as well as the Journey to the Tomb, not only reminded us, but also brought to life, the reason for this particular season.

I am so thankful for my husband, and have been really reminded of that recently, in a new way. I feel very blessed with my little family. I wouldn't trade or change anything about it.

My two sweet, precious, special little boys.
Bryce was pretty excited about his Easter basket that was as tall as he was. He hasn't stopped talking about it yet.
It's getting just slightly easier to get a good picture of this little wiggle worm. I thought it was cute how he put his hands behind his head right before I snapped this picture. I loves Aunt Mary's backporch swing, and seems to be the easiest place to get a good picture of him.
Some of the "younger help" in the kitchen....

and some of the slightly "older help". My Mom and Aunt Cathy.
Connor showing of his A,B,C's, his counting from 1-20 and all his animal noises, to Aunt Brenda and her MIL, Mrs. Retha Hendershot. He doesn't seem to mind "performing" often on demand, to show off his skills.

I am sure you will be able to see a lot more pictures, and maybe a video or two, soon on my sister, Mary Huff's blog.
Hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter!
