Today, being St. Patricks Day, the school said that along with the usual uniforms, the kids could wear "green stuff" to celebrate the day. So I found a couple things for Bryce to wear. The cloverleaf pin on his lapel blinks brightly, the big pin on his shirt says "Pinch Protection" and the antenna's say "Happy St. Patricks Day". Bryce was pretty excited about wearing his stuff.

Connor just got dressed in his greenest shirt. He is finally getting to the point where he will stand still, look at the camera and say "CHEESE". It makes it SO much easier to take pictures!!

On the way to school!

Saturday night, we went out with our good friends, Matt and Tracy Bowens, to celebrate Matt's 34th birthday. The plan was to go to City Place and eat at the Original Steakhouse, which they had eaten at one other time and really liked it and were looking forward to eating there again. Steve and I had eaten there several times and enjoyed it as well. We got to City Place and couldn't believe it when we got to the top of the steps and the restaurant had been replaced by some kind of other restaurant that seemed to be about mostly things to do with alcohol.
So we traipsed back down the stairs and ended up eating at the Cheesecake Factory, which is one of Steve's and my favorite places to eat. We walked in to find a one and a half hour wait, but found a high top table where you can seat yourself and sat down immediately. We had a great time, enjoyed the yummy food and talked about anything and everything and laughed plenty. Afterwards we walked around and tried to walk off a little bit of our very full tummy's and enjoyed some old timer music for a little while as well.
We always enjoy our time with Matt and Tracy and had a great evening.
We stopped to take a few pictures.
Here is a video montage of Connor. Due to Connors level of Spina Bifida, one thing that is difficult to do is things that would cause stress on the lower part of the back. After being worked with at school during his physical therapy sessions and a little bit at home, he surprised us by getting on a little boy's tricycle while camping a few weekends ago and taking off. When our family went camping the following weekend, I went to Wal-Mart and bought him his own tricycle that can grow with him for awhile. He loved it and did really well!
His language is really taking off. Besides being able to count to 20 by himself, saying all his A,B,C's and doing a lot of animal sounds, he mimics EVERYTHING that he hears. Whether it be things we say, things at church and can say what's coming up next on his Blue's Clue's videos. It's very cute to hear and I cannot imagine ever telling him to be quiet after waiting so long to hear him talk.

Boy am I going to get it this afternoon after Ethan sees Bryce. They look adorable.
So happy about Connor's progress. Dylan loved sharing his pen with him a few weeks ago.
And I forgot to say what great pictures from your evening with the Bowens - I'll have to tell Tracy that I'm happy to see two photos in a row of her with her eyes open...even if the first she is more at half mast...are you sure you didn't hit the first alcohol related establishment!?!?!
I totally forgot that today is St. Patrick's Day! If I don't tell the kids, I won't get pinched.
Connor rode that trike like a pro! Good for him! You must surely be proud.
