Our vacation in paradise...part one.

This will be my third trip to Grand Cayman and the second for Steve and Bryce. I never have been disappointed and look forward to our next visit there.
Shawn Ebanks and I began a friendship starting when we were both Sophmores in High School and I became close to his whole family as well. We went through periods of time were we didn't see each other or talk much due to him getting married right after graduation and moving back to Cayman, etc., but once we got back in touch with each other a few years ago, our friendship seems like it never had an interruption. My husband Steve and Shawn get along very well and have so much in common including a birthday only four days apart, although Steve is two years younger. Shawn's wife Carli and I have become friends, and keep in touch by emails often. They have two kids, their oldest is a daughter Jordan and youngest is a son Jarrett. Jarrett is only a year younger than Bryce and they have so much fun together. They have one of Shawn's nieces living with them who is only a year younger than Jordan so everyone had someone which made it nice.
Shawn and Carli wanted to be on vacation at the same time we were there so we decided to rent a house together up at the tip of Cayman at a place called Cayman Kai. Shawn came up with the idea and I researched and found this place online and it was the perfect arrangement and we all loved it and had a great time. We had four bedrooms. Three upstairs and one downstairs. Both of the adults bedrooms were nice and big with king-size beds and our own balcony's and bathrooms. The two boys stayed upstairs in their own room with two twins in it and the girls, who are 13 and 14, stayed in the room downstairs which they loved of course, to not be stuck upstairs with the parents and two little kids. There was a nice sized kitchen, livingroom, and big backporch with a big backyard and our own beach and dock. The whole yard was made out of white powdry sand with Palm trees swaying.
I am going to do this particular blog just about the place we stayed at and then the next couple blogs will be about what we did while we were there with pictures to show you. I am still waiting for a lot of the pictures from Shawn and Carli's camera.
Welcome to Barefoot Kai in Cayman Kai.
The kitchen.
Living room.
The backyard, dock and waterway that was all ours for almost six days. We all decided it wouldn't be a bad way to spend a vacation a couple times a year.
The view from the back as you are pulling up in the boat.

More pictures will be coming soon!!
