Steve Owens taking over for Steve Irwin....

Sunday afternoon after church we were all at the Huff's house for dinner and we were preparing the food. Brenda was in the dining room and just happened to be looking out the sliding glass door's at the goats in the next lot over. She saw something moving along the ground and at first thought it was an iguana, but then realized that the way it was moving so close to the ground was suspicious it was a small alligator.
All the guy's and kids and a few of the women took off over there to see and the next thing I know I heard Brenda say "Steve is chasing it." I grabbed Mary's camera and took off for the backyard.
Steve was working on catching it. The gator was hissing at him and Steve was using a stick trying to get him to bite it so he could then pick him up. The gator got Steve a little before he caught him. You may be able to see his "war wound" on his thumb in the picture's.
Steve finally got him and brought him back over to show us his first catch. He suddenly became popular for picture's with his first gator. Since the first Crocodile Hunter is no longer with us, I think we have a new one to take his place. (NOT!)
