I thought this picture of my little Mr. Independence was too cute to pass up sharing with you. We had a nice day of first meeting the Huff's, my cousin Liz and the Crocker's at my parents community pool and swimming and getting some sun. Then after going home and getting ready and preparing our food we were each to bring, we met around 5:30 at the Huff's house with more relatives and friends for some yummy food and just taking it easy and talking until around 9:00 that night, when it got dark outside we headed out to their front porch to watch some fireworks that Rick and Mary's neighbors, the Addison's set off. It turned out to be a very nice evening weather wise and the fireworks weren't bad for amateurs. The kids didn't care for the loud noise, so most of them headed indoors to one of the bedrooms where a few of them watched from the safety of being behind a closed window.
It was a nice relaxing day of just being with family and a few friends and being thankful for our freedom.
