Becky was always so much fun to be around. We went on one of the first TLC trips together when TLC was brand new. We had a really rough trip:) Our team went over on a cruise ship to Freeport, Bahama's and it was a lot of fun. We did do some work. Paint a house and a church and conducted a VBS and helped the missionaries there get to go away on vacation while we took over, but we also got to do a lot of the touristy stuff. Becky and I became close on that trip because we shared a room, and I have considered her to be a good friend ever since, even if we did lose touch for awhile. Like Mary said, it is amazing how 17 years can melt away and you feel like no time has passed at all.
Her little daughter is sweet and Becky is an amazing woman and Mom. She takes in many foster kids and even picks up her daughter's biological Mom on Sundays to take her to church. The Bio. Mom was even at the party Saturday and when she realized how much she had missed from being on drugs, etc. Becky was the one there to comfort and hold her and pray with her. It was incredibly sweet and impressive to watch.
I was really glad we could go see her and show her how much we still care.
