Yesterday was a little open house and pre-registeration for Bryce and Kaitlyn for Kindergarten. It was very cute. We met at 9:30 am in the Kindergarten room and all the kids sat at the tables they will be sitting in this coming school year and the adults sat around the room and the Principal and then the Teacher, Mrs. Deckard spoke and told us a little about what to expect.
It looks like a pretty nice class. There are three other of my graduating classmates kids in the same class. Ladonna (Heatwole) Wille's son, Tara (Predmore) Hydes daughter, Sue (Trueblood) Mydock's son and I with Bryce.
Then you can also look at it as a very related class. There is Mary and I, who of course are sisters, then Sue who is our first cousin, then Amy (Mydock) Reiff who is Sue's sister-in-law, then Ladonna who is Amy's cousin. Did you get all that? Will Mydock, Sue and Andy's third child, is stuck right in the middle of the whole thing, so he has four cousins in his class.
Along with the one's mentioned above is also Nagi and Ginger Hanna's son, Brent and Joan Hoffpauir's son, Tim and Becky Carroll's daughter, David and Seanna Klein's son, and a couple more that I don't know.
Bryce is very excited about going to Mommy's old school and what he now has dubbed "Michael's school" since Mary's son Michael has gone there for a couple years. I know I will be asked dozens of times between now and the first day of school, when he gets to start Kindergarten.
I have been asked if I am OK with him starting school and at this point the answer is yes. When it gets closer to that first day, I might have my moments, but knowing he is so excited and he is so ready, I am fine with my big/little boy going to school.
