Why did the Mom cross the road?

Steve decided to give me an early Mother's Day card. He said the good and sweet one would come on Mother's Day, but this one couldn't wait. He went shopping tonight and came home insisting that I go ahead and open this one card.
Let me preface this card by explaining what happened last night. It had been a very busy and full Monday and Tuesday. I had been stuck inside the house for both those days, other than running Bryce to and from pre-school. Bryce is definitely in the mood to ask constant questions these days and sometimes it just gets old, especially when you feel like you have already answered them 100 times before. Connor has his times where he is just in a mood and seems to give me difficulty at every turn. This is what my Monday and Tuesday were like along with doing several different projects at once. Sometimes when Steve gets home from work, he takes away some of this by playing with the boys and giving me a little break. Well, Monday he was gone all day to work and then had an association meeting all evening. Tuesday he was gone all day to work and came home wanting to go to the mall.
Well, needless to say I started mumbling under my breath and he could tell I wasn't happy and wanted to know why. I explained that I just needed some time to myself and some peace and quiet and he said no problem, he could go to the mall the next night and proceeded to take the kids in the backyard to play. I grabbed my headset, put on my sneakers and told him I was going for a brisk walk. I walked around our neighborhood at a fast pace several times. I arrived back inside in a much better mood since I had gotten some time to myself and the endorphins were pumping from the exercise.
Hence, the card he gave me tonight, on the outside:
A Mother's Day Riddle
Why did the Mom Cross the Road?
On the inside:
No one could tell, really, she was mumbling to herself about peace and quiet. She circled the block a couple of times and came back a lot happier.
Happy Mother's Day.
Steve signed it..To the best wife a guy could have!
It just cracked us both up that because of what had happened the previous night that he came across this card that said it perfectly. Hope all you Mom's have a wonderful Mother's Day.
