This was taken about two weeks ago, but I was too busy to blog about it. Therapeutic listening has been completely different this time around than it was last summer when I had enough and put a halt to it. Connor has changed in leaps and bounds and it is such a part of our day, doing it twice a day for a half hour each time, that we don't even think about how horrible it was the first time around.
This particular day Connor had been pretty sick with croup and a bad cold and we had been up three nights in a row together, with him crawling all over me, I think due in part that he was on Prednisone and it was making him wired. It was at supper time and he was doing his Therapeutic listening and he hadn't much sleep the night before and couldn't fall asleep at nap time either and by about 6pm, even though he was doing a pretty intense CD, sleep overcame him and when I came out from my bedroom, found him like this. It was so sweet and so unlike him, I had to snap this picture. As soon as the timer went off and I took the headset off him, he was back to playing and got his second wind.
I don't know how people figure out things like that this Therapeutic listening stuff will affect the inner ear and therefore make a big difference in children with certain issues, but whoever figured that out, thank you, because it has made a big difference with my little boy.
