For the fourth time in three months I am sick once again. It seems like within 24 hours of finishing my antiobiotics from the last bout of sickness it hits me hard and fast. Monday morning I will be the first phone call the the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor asking that I please be scheduled as soon as possible for a tonsilectomy. Do I want one? Not at all! But if it will take away this constant sickness, then let's get it done, so I can move on with my life.
So today, Saturday, while I spent most of the day in bed, sleeping or resting, with a fever and sore throat that feels like someone's fist is jammed down it and I am trying to swallow around it, Steve played Mr. Mom.
Steve was awesome though. This morning he had a couple of appointments and so my wonderful Mother came over and gave Connor a bath and fed him some breakfast and got Bryce ready for the day and folded my clean laundry and picked up my house and then Steve came home shortly after and just took over. While the kids were playing he completely cleaned out our garage and it looks awesome. Then after giving the kids lunch and putting Connor down for his nap, he took a short nap himself then got up and cleaned out his work truck. He made sure that both boys were well taken care of and that they left Mommy alone so she could sleep in peace.
Tonight, I finally had the strength to get up and take a shower and I did fix my three boys a pancake and egg supper. After that though my strength was gone. The boys enjoyed playing in the now clean and spacious garage. Our outdoor fire pit was in there though, which Connor found. This is how he looked several minutes later after discovering this interesting, black contraption that we call a fire pit. Steve said he looked like he was trying to celebrate Ash Wednesday on a Saturday. Obviously he will be getting a second bath for the day before going to bed tonight. Bryce meanwhile, had a great time spending the day with his Daddy and "helping".
Thank God for a wonderful, helpful husband and a great Father to our boys!
