What could be better than spending time with your cousin who is your best friend

Bryce and Kaitlyn (my sister Mary's daughter) are not only cousins, but they are the best of friends. With only ten weeks between them, Bryce being the oldest, they enjoy nothing more than spending time together. If it was up to Bryce he would live at Kaitlyn's and visit his Mommy and Daddy, instead of it being the other way around.
Since two of Mary's son's were sick, she was not able to meet our MOM's group at the park and since Kaitlyn had already had her sickness a week before and was long over it, we decided to pick her up and take her with us, much to both Bryce and Kaitlyn's delight. After spending about an hour and a half at the park on a absolutely gorgeous day, it was time to go home to put Connor down for his nap, so we took Kaitlyn home with us for the next few hours. They had so much fun playing with Bryce's toys, but also with playing with our cute little black furball, Brady. Kaitlyn didn't want him chasing her one minute, but begged him too the next.
Around 4:30 Grandma(my Mom), Great-Grandma Kemmerer(my Mom's Mom) and Great-Aunt Marilyn (my Mom's sister) came and picked up Kaitlyn and Bryce and took them to an early supper and dessert at Cracker Barrell.
They both had a very fun and busy day and I know Bryce was tired and was ready to go to bed early. I am so glad my family lives close by and Bryce has such a sweet little cousin/friend to play with. I can guarantee that if Bryce is around, no one will take any of her toys or do anything to Kaitlyn without hearing it from him. He is her little bodyguard and protector. She is the sister he never had.
