Last night after the sun went down, it became pretty chilly, so Steve built a nice fire in our firepit in the back yard. The boys love it when he does that. It is a nice family thing we do together from time to time on cold nights . Sometimes we'll eat our Sunday evening snack of popcorn, but last night we just felt like sitting still by the fire.
At least some of us wanted to sit still. The youngest, who seems to have no fear of anything these days, wanted to head straight for the fire....over and over again, making his Daddy and Mommy a nervous, jumpy wreck. I finally fetched his music headset that always calms him down and will make him sit still for a long time.
After the boys were put to bed, Steve and I continued to enjoy the warm fire, until I fell asleep in my chair. It was a nice relaxing way to end the weekend.
